The SMS Library Promotes a Love of Reading & Learning!
-
The library is a safe, quiet place to read, study, and conduct research, or do homework. We have a large fiction section organized alphabetically by the author’s last name. There is also an extensive non-fiction section arranged by the dewey decimal system. We receive new books monthly and they can be found on the shelves right inside the front door. There are three student computers. A student ID is required to use the computers for classwork or research. You can also use the computers to research the library system, check your library account and put a book on hold.
The Library is open before school, during nutrition, and at lunch. It is NOT open after school. The Library is often used for meetings and special classes/testing; hours/schedule are subject to change.
Textbooks
-
The District no longer allows for two sets of textbooks for students. Here are a few websites to check for new/used textbooks for your student. When ordering textbooks, you will need to refer to the following ISBN#s • Amazon • Follett
