Dear Ladera STARS Families and Community Members,

I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to you as we approach the start of a new school year and am honored to introduce myself as the Principal of Ladera STARS Academy. I look forward to collaborating with you to create a supportive and enriching educational experience for all of our learners.

I join the Ladera STARS team having served in several roles throughout my career in education. I look forward to using my experience and knowledge as a former classroom teacher, School Psychologist, Assistant Principal of Student Support Services, and Assistant Principal of Instruction to support our students in reaching both personal and academic goals.

I believe that education is a collective effort that involves the entire community, including parents, guardians, educators, and community members. Together, we can build student capacity and develop the potential of our students in order to prepare them for a bright future.

It is our mission at Ladera STARS to provide a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where every child feels valued and inspired to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. We will strive to instill a love for learning, critical thinking skills, and a sense of responsibility in our students, which will empower them to become active and compassionate members of our community.

As the new school year begins, I’d like to encourage you to actively participate in our school community. You can get involved in numerous ways, whether volunteering in the classroom, supporting school events, joining the Ladera STARS Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), or simply sharing your expertise and experiences with our students.

Communication is key to the success of any school community; we will regularly share updates, important events, and school news through newsletters, social media platforms (@laderastarsacademy), and committee  meetings. Your feedback and input are valued, and I welcome any dialog you may have to enhance our school's educational programs and services.

By working as a team, we create a positive environment where our students can reach their full potential. As a community, we will celebrate their achievements and support them through challenges. Your involvement is welcomed, and I am grateful for the support you provide to the Ladera STARS staff in educating and caring for your children.
