In addition to artistic opportunities in the classroom, all students receive art instruction from our art specialist, Karen Hartstein.  Mrs. Hartstein has a B.A. in Art History and many years of experience sharing her passion for art with others, including community projects and Art Trek.  In their monthly art lessons, students learn about a famous artist and get the chance to create their own work of art that incorporates the style and media of that artist.  Students also learn the elements of art outlined in the CA Visual and Performing Art Standards:  line, shape, color, texture, and space.
