Jennifer Dobson

Jennifer Dobson was approved as the new Principal of Colina Middle School at the Wednesday, June 5th Board of Education meeting.

Ms. Dobson has 24 years of experience in public education, most recently serving as a high school principal for a charter high school in Los Angeles County. As an educational leader, Ms. Dobson prioritizes fostering a culture of continuous improvement, where innovation, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making are embraced at every level. She is committed to fostering supportive and inclusive environments where all members of the school community feel valued, empowered and inspired to reach their full potential.

In addition to experience as a high school principal, Ms. Dobson has served in roles spanning elementary, middle, high, international, district office, and charter school settings as an Assistant Principal of Curriculum & Instruction, District Mathematics Coach, Mathematics Consultant and Teacher.

Ms. Dobson is also a community member and a parent in the CVUSD. She and her husband moved to the Conejo, so her children (a daughter in 4th grade and a son in 2nd grade) could attend school in the CVUSD. Ms. Dobson would like to share that she is, “looking forward to getting back to where my career started in middle school.”

Ms. Dobson earned a Masters of Arts, Curriculum and Teaching from Michigan State University, a Bachelor of Arts, Elementary Education from Michigan State University, a Multiple Subject Credential from the State of California, Administrative Credential from the Santa Clara Office of Education and a Clear Administrative Credential from the University of California, Irvine.
