Dear Sequoia Middle School families,

My name is Joseph Miller, and it is my honor to serve as PTSA president for the 2024-2025 school year.  Although I am new to the PTSA, I am not new to the Sequoia community. I am a proud parent of two former Sequoia students and one current 8^th grade student.  I am also currently employed as a Campus Safety Associate at Sequoia.  From my position as a CSA for the past 2 school years, I have established a strong working relationship with the Sequoia administration, I have built relationships with many of the Sequoia teachers and supporting staff, and I have the privilege of interacting with many of the students during school days. I consider myself a strong child advocate, which is my primary motivation for serving as the Sequoia PTSA president this year.  

As we all know, it takes a village to raise a child. Therefore, I encourage parents to engage with the Sequoia staff, administration and the PTSA.  One valuable resource to stay informed about school activities, events, and day-to-day happenings on campus, is to “like” our Facebook page.  This resource allows you to easily reach a large part of the Sequoia community to find information and stay connected.

I am excited to dive into the responsibilities of leading the Sequoia PTSA and I look forward to building relationships with current and incoming parents of Sequoia students.

Volunteering with the PTSA is incredibly rewarding. Please jump in where you can. Here is a little bit about what the Sequoia PTSA does. The Sequoia PTSA is a volunteer organization and our success is greatly dependent on parents like you volunteering to help at events, by joining the PTSA and by supporting our fundraisers.
