    Enter Reflections’ Theme-Based Art Contest:

    Students create art based on their interpretation of: “Accepting Imperfection”. Create art in any of the above categories, write your statement on how your art relates to the theme, and turn in! Students’ work will be judged and displayed at our gallery show. You could win awards and move on through the PTA Shows!

    PARTICIPATE IN REFLECTIONS CONTEST:

    1. Grab Rules & Entry Form in the Office (see backside for sizing)
    2. Choose a Category & Create (art inspired by theme w/o parent help) 3. Fill out entry form with Artist Statement (pick up in office, or scan QR) 4. Pick-up Matting Material in the office, optional: 9.4 - 9.30
    5. Turn in Mounted Art & Entry Form on: 9.30-10.4 (NO EARLIER)
    6. Awards & Gallery Show: Wednesday, 10.16 at 6pm

    Do not turn in before 9.30. All art must be mounted*. NO SIGNATURES. Tape filled out entry form on the back of work. Artist statement needs to be in the student’s words, parents can help fill out, NO HELP ON ART. Digital files and entries: ReflectionsWildwood@gmail.com

    RULES:
    Visual Arts:
    2D artworks must be mounted and no larger than 24x30” with matting. 3D work accepted,

    take 3 photos of your work.
    Photography: Single image only. Collages are Visual Arts. Size: 3x5” - 8x10”.

    Mounted no larger than 11x14 inches. Framed prints are not accepted. Dance Choreography: Video not to exceed 5 mins, and 1MB in MP4 or AVI.

    Film Production: Animation, narrative, documentary, experimental or media presentation. Video not to exceed 5 mins or 1 MB as MP4 or AVI.

    Literature: Fiction/nonfiction accepted. Copyrighted material is prohibited. 2,000 words or less, handwritten or typed. Illustrations will not be judged.

    Music Composition: Entrant is the composer and may be the performer. Copyrighted material is prohibited. 5 mins max, 1 MB max, as MP3 or WAV.

    Special Artist: Identify as having a disability, services under IDEA or ADA. See Complete Rules in Office or at: capta.org/resource/participant-forms

    *MOUNT YOUR ART*

    All art must be mounted on sturdy material. Black foam core board from
    Dollar Tree recommended. You can use scrap cardboard and get the black paper from the office to wrap the cardboard. PAPER ROLLS IN OFFICE.

    Top 4 entries in each category move on to Conejo Council Judging. Students may enter in more than 1 category.
