Welcome to GATE
Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) provides qualitatively differentiated learning experiences for students with unique abilities and talents in all academic areas and/or visual and performing arts. From their home page you can click the Information and Publications tab at the top to find many informative and helpful articles under sub categories for different groups like parents, educators, etc.
- Under the "For Parents" tab there are many helpful lists like Characteristics of Gifted Individuals and Myths about Gifted Students.
- There is also an excellent article titled What it Means to Teach Gifted Learners Well under the "Gifted Education Practices" tab.
2. The Gifted Development Center website. Articles exploring the idea of giftedness as a psychological reality with a focus on asynchronous development as opposed to giftedness defined simply by achievement.
3. Hoagie's Gifted Education Page. Everything from articles, to blogs, to online gifted community links.
