Mrs. Kiner
Mrs. Kiner knew she wanted to become a teacher when she was a second grader in Minnesota. She has taught second and third grade at Madroña since 1996. She has a Bachelor Degree in Education from Arizona State University. Mrs. Kiner is married, has 2 adult children, and lives in Oak Park. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and gardening.

Mrs. White
Laurie White has been teaching at Madrona since 1999. She’s taught second and fifth grades and is currently teaching third grade.
Laurie has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Management Information Systems from CSUF. She has a Master of Science in Instructional Science and Technology from CSUMB. Prior to teaching, she worked as a systems analyst in the communications industry. She enjoys bringing these skills into her teaching.
Laurie, and her husband, David, have lived in Thousand Oaks for over thirty years, raising their three children here. They enjoy traveling, time with their expanding family, and adventures with their golden retriever.
Laurie enjoys teaching all subject areas, from math and science to reading, writing, and social studies. She’s always looking for opportunities to add technology as well. She loves working with students of all ages and learning new ideas as well.
