Mrs. Swink grew up in Thousand Oaks and is a product of Madrona Elementary School, Redwood Middle School, and Thousand Oaks High School. Mrs. Swink received her bachelor’s degree from California State University Channel Islands and both her teaching credential and master’s degree from California Lutheran University. 

When she is not at Madrona, Mrs. Swink enjoys spending time with her husband and two standard poodles, Franklin and Andrew. She currently lives in Thousand Oaks and enjoys going to the beach, cheering for the Dodgers, cooking, hiking, walking her dogs, traveling, and reading. 

Miss Adkins is in her second year of teaching at Madrona Elementary School where she will be teaching 4th-5th grade. She was raised in Thousand Oaks, is a product of the Conejo Valley Unified School District, attended Wildwood Elementary School, Redwood Middle School, and graduated from Thousand Oaks High School. She then went to California Lutheran University and earned her Bachelor’s degree, followed by her teaching credential and Master’s in Teaching Leadership.  

When she is not at school, Miss Adkins enjoys spending time with her niece and nephews, and her Maltese - Hadley Mae Clementine Vanderbilt (the 3^rd).  She enjoys crafting, going to Target, seeing concerts, and catching up on her favorite television shows. She feels so fortunate and grateful to be a part of the Madrona Mustang family and is looking forward to another wonderful school year!
