The Foundation’s longest-standing education program, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation Scholars Program recognizes remarkable leadership, character, communication skills, academic achievement, and commitment to Ventura County among high school seniors.
In total, $50,000 in scholarships were awarded to 13 students attending 11 local high school students through the 2024 Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation Scholars Program.
“Each year we are inspired by the extraordinary commitment these students have to Ventura County. The leadership they have demonstrated would have made President Reagan incredibly optimistic about the future of both our community and this country,” said Richard Schroeder, the Foundation’s chief of education programming. “In 25 years of sponsoring this program, we have awarded $920,000 in funding to 256 local students attending 31 local high schools. We can’t wait to see what these students will accomplish in the next 25 years.”
Semifinalists and recipients were recognized during an awards program and dinner at the Reagan Library on Wednesday, May 15.
