Congratulations to Jennifer Wutkee of Los Cerritos Middle School, the CVUSD January 2023 Teacher of the Month!

Jennifer Wutkee arrives at Los Cerritos Middle School each day, energized and excited to support the development of students. An English Language Development (ELD) and Spanish teacher at Los Cerritos, she has served as the Los Cerritos’ Department Chair, Electives for the last three school years. An educator with the CVUSD for more than a decade, she is committed to building strong connections with her students, which supports their growth as individuals. We and the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce are proud to recognize her as our January 2023 Teacher of the Month!

Ms. Wutkee shares a passion for teaching and learning that is evident to students in the classroom and to all the teachers and staff who are lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with her.

In her classroom, students grow as scholars and as individuals. She implements practices that are focused not only on language skills, but are also centered on building confidence, self-esteem, and academic success. 

Ms. Wutkee is also a proven leader at Los Cerritos Middle. She shares best practices and supports her colleagues, which strengthens the ELD program at Los Cerritos. She is truly the foremost advocate for supporting English Language Learners at Los Cerritos, and for this, the staff and students at Los Cerritos are so thankful. 

On Tuesday, January 10th, the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Conejo Valley Unified School District surprised Ms. Wutkee with the January 2023 Teacher of the Month recognition during a LCMS staff meeting. Ms. Wutkee received a commemorative plaque honoring her special recognition. Congratulations, Ms. Wutkee and thank you for your dedication to the success and growth of all Los Cerritos scholars!
