  • A Boston native, I am proud to call Newbury Park my home since 2011. I earned degrees in English and American Literature and in Religious Studies from Brown University. I’ve worked in an internet technology startup, started and run a successful business, and worked with thousands of teachers and students during my years in educational publishing. I am now California Deputy Director for the National Wildlife Federation, currently building the world’s largest wildlife crossing in Liberty Canyon here in the Conejo Valley.

I serve on the California School Board Association’s Delegate Assembly and am the Vice President, Legislation of the Ventura County School Board Association. I am a core volunteer for two trusted non-profit organizations that work closely with CVUSD to serve our students and families, Safe Passage Youth Foundation and Adelante Comunidad Conejo.

My service as a trustee arises from a sense of gratitude for my own public school experience in upstate New York and for my children’s superb education here in the Conejo Valley Unified School District at Banyan Elementary, Sequoia Middle, and Newbury Park High School. As the child of educators and the parent of a typical learner and an IEP student, I understand that inclusion benefits all. I am pleased to work collaboratively with my fellow board members, district leadership, teachers, staff, students, families, and engaged community members in continuing efforts to honor the promise of each individual student and to pursue excellence and equity every day in our district.
