Congratulations to CVUSD’s February 2025 Teacher of the Month: Alyssa Peters of Weathersfield Elementary!
Alyssa Peters recognizes the diverse needs of students, and meets those needs by employing a wide variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to engage students in meaningful learning experiences. A teacher in the CVUSD for a decade, Ms. Peters is currently the Lead Primary Teacher at Weathersfield Elementary School where she teaches kindergarten. At Weathersfield, she provides individualized support to each student to ensure that every child reaches their full potential, and we and the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce are proud to honor her as the CVUSD February 2025 Teacher of the Month!
Not only does Ms. Peters deliver educational excellence in her classroom for all students, but she also imparts the importance of kindness. Students who demonstrate kindness and cooperation with each other are rewarded with the, “Mystery Eagle,” honor. She is dedicated to the success of each student and frequently communicates with parents/guardians regarding strategies and supports that benefit their child.
Ms. Peters excels as a collaborator, and meets with the grade level team to assess students’ needs individually, as well as across the grade level, and adjusts instruction based on these discussions. She demonstrates professional responsibility and integrity in all of her interactions with students, colleagues, and parents. She truly understands the importance of building strong partnerships to support student success.
At the Tuesday, February 11th Weathersfield Elementary School staff meeting, Ms. Peters was surprised with the February 2025 Teacher of the Month recognition. She was presented with a commemorative plaque from the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce to honor her special recognition, along with a $300 teacher grant from the Conejo Schools Foundation, and congratulatory wishes from CVUSD’s leadership team and members of the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Education Committee.
Congratulations Ms. Peters on this award, and thank you for embodying the spirit of excellence and innovation that is strived for at Weathersfield Elementary, and across our District!
